earlier this year, there was an article about an experiment here in washington of stocking tigermuskie into an alpine lake (name not mentioned) to control the stunted trout population. i believe this was already supposed to have taken place and was wondering if anyone has heard of any updates of how the experiment is working?
No news yet. They were in doing plankton sampling in August. They still caught small EBs and didn’t see any tigers, but apparently that’s not unusual in the first year. It is going to be really interesting seeing how this comes out.
There is a small sign attached to “shredded and bent” fishing reel that hangs on the wall at the G.I. JOE’s Lake Stevens store (behind the Fishing/Gun Counter). It reads, “what a Tiger-Muskie” does to a fishing reel.”
