        Hi,
        I’m planning to stock Minotaur Lake with 1500 TRRB on Saturday, August 24th. I plan to be at Tokul Creek around 5:00 AM that morning to pick up the fish.
        Minotaur Lake is over Stevens Pass, left at Smith Brook road, then over the pass and down Rainy Creek to the road turning off to the left to the parking area at the end of the road. The hike is not long but steep for the first mile or so. I think we’ll be at the trailhead around 8:00 AM. Hope you can make it.

          Geoff Wang was watching out for me. He informed me that the 104 acre Shoofly Fire that started a month and a half ago is still in the mop up stage. The area is closed even though the fire is over a mile away.

          That means I have to cancel the trip due to “No Access”.

            I fished minotaur yesterday (from a raft – overcast day with slight ripple and smoke haze) and only caught 5 fish in 5 hours. Nothing over 11″.

            It didn’t seem like a “typical” alpine small-fish lake with tons of very hungry fish. There were many refusals of my flies and I tried my whole box.

            It makes sense that it has been 5+ years since a stocking, and this summer’s stocking didn’t happen.
