        Hey everyone,

I was hoping to find a lower elevation hike to a lake that may remain unfrozen through the winter. Open to anything in cascades (west or east side), rainier area, or olympics. I have been missing summer time and fly fishing on lakes, but the list of places I’ve made for summer are all frozen. I’ve been tracking snow levels/elevation to try and guess which ones may not freeze, but thought this may be a good place to ask. Also, this may have been discussed before and I could be directed towards that post. Thanks!

        Tom

Those sorts of in-between elevation lakes are kind of hard to find. The lakes in the Chuckanuts might be open. Or Smelling and Julia. Something like Pine or Spider Lake in the Olympics might be an option this time of year.
