Well in excess of 6500 ft.
WOW…..It hard to believe any lake in the state of Washington can grow fish this big at 6500′. I would think only in eastern Washington could this be possible, but perhaps it is elsewhere.
NO, I an not “fishing” for the lake name here. I am just curious about elevations and food supply.
P.S. Are you sooperfly or Guest? And if Guest why not register?
Oops.. didn’t realize I wasn’t logged in when I posted. Sorry! 😆 ..
This lake has abundance of feed. Huge scuds, salamanders, copeopods, etc. It’s really small, has a sandy bottom and is quite shallow.

Posting this for somebody else. A nice fall ‘bow.
This is from a hike last weekend.
Jackchinook with a nice 19 inch ‘bow.
Well, I am pretty sure your fish is a rainbow.
Most trout/salmon have parr marks at one time in their life. Go ahead and email me the picture and I can post it here for ya.
Should be nice that time of year! Hopefully less bugs! Couple of the places we went to were thick with flies and skeeters.
A video frame grab from my Curtis Raft. 😀

I see you eat the small ones raw 😉
Sorry, my dense brain doesn’t get it? ❓
Well, my ISP still hasn’t fixed our user webpages, so we bought a domain.
I’ll put up a gallery when I get it done, but for now here is a cutty pic. This was just about an average fish in this lake. Other lakes had smaller fish.
Brian,
The Frank Church. I’ll zap you a pic or two after I get through these.. had a new underwater camera that took some cool pics/vids.
Sight fishing from shore was unbelievable… Fishing from the raft was great too, good thing I had a waterproof camera, as I wasn’t going to lift these guys out of the water sitting in the raft to take a pic. Might have swamped me. 😀 Only partially kidding.
Just got back from a great fishing trip in Idaho. My ISP still hasn’t fixed our user webpages so I won’t be able to post pics yet. 😡
We got into some very nice sized cutties.
Brian,
Sorry I couldn’t make the Wenatchee meeting…. I just got back from a 9 day vacation in Idaho that was paid for over a year ago. I wasn’t going to cancel that. 😥
At least the fishing was good… 😀
Been out a few times, this is the biggest I have caught so far. Have to go to nwhikers to see the fish, sorry. My ISP is migrating over personal webpages and haven’t finished yet. It’s been a couple weeks too… arrgh. 👿

Here is an article in tonights Wenatchee World.
Not really, most of the ones we have caught so far have been just like this. Maybe the males might be a bit darker. That’s a great fish you have there! Would that be net marks toward the back ? Or maybe it duked it out with a seal? 😀
Great show! A person just gets drawn in. I hear the book is very good too, my copy is on the way.
