I fished Lonesome and Forest Lake on Saturday. I was hoping for some larger tiger trout but it was fun catching them, a first for me. Sorry I didn’t get better pictures but I’m sure I’ll be up there again soon. I caught 3 or 4 at Lonesome all around 6 inches and I caught several stunted brooks as well. I saw the goldfish at Forest and caught 3 or 4 tiger trout as well, no brooks caught in the short time I was here.

Hi Jim, thank you for the info! I haven’t made the attempt yet but I will definitely give it a shot next summer. Dropping in from the Summit Lake trail sounds sketchy. How difficult is that route?

This fish was caught in a different lake, but is this considered a stunted fish?

Thank you for the explanation. The EB I caught here was very healthy, but I’ve definitely seen the stunted EBs in other lakes.

Why do you say “fortunately” about them not being in Bertha May any more?
