I know a couple spots back home, but not up here. Just got a GPS a bit ago, so I might try to look for the smaller, more secluded lakes
I noticed that. Seems like my life revolves around fishing. Ill be on here often.
If there were tons of people on here, everybody would know aboot these lakes and the fishing might suck. Not like its hard to find out aboot them, but you know what I meanI took your advice and went and got the flies you listed. Thanks. Ill let you guys know what happens
I called up the ranger station and they said the fishies have been rising a lot lately on Dorothy, but no fishing reports
I am going by myself. Thats why I dont wanna venture off too far. Until I find a partner that is.
How far can I drive up?
Thanks for the help.
I might venture off a bit, but not a whole lot. The smaller ones look close, or not too much farther from the trail as Dorothy. Im probably wrong. I might check them out.
How far of a hike is this to Dorothy?
Looks like I might be able to follow a creek to another lake.Im all aboot fishing smaller lakes/ponds. I guess oddly enough, the biggest fish Ive caught are in ponds or small lakes. To my own knowledge, Im pretty stealthy when it comes to clear water. Im going by myself tommorrow, so I dont wanna venture too far. Of course, if I see something I like, Im gonna try it. Im thinkin of going up Camp Robber road.
Tough hiking isnt a problem, I just dont wanna be hiking fo miles on end. I think Goat is a little far right now. Hopefully I can use my mountain bike a bit
I hear Goat is pretty hard to get to. You have any other reccommendations in that area? Boardnam? The ones around it?
Im starting this high lake thing too. I have fished a lot of them in Cali, but not here. Im headed up to Goat Lake on Sat mornng. Its off the mountain loop highway south of Bedal Campground. This is gonna be my first time fly fishing also. Should be fun
