Thanks, been dream of a Alpine fish like this. Seen them and have caught ones 18 and 19 but nothing this big.
Caught this Hog last Saturday. Measured out at 22 in. The other 2 were 18. I caught 7 fish that day let the others go. Smallest being 16, 4-18, 1-19, 1-22.
I agree with little John. Also I do appreciate the effort of the individuals that take time and volunteer to plant lakes for all of us.

Wow, I missed an i.
It is too bad that there is not a list of it. I do understand though with all the lakes. I guess you would need to get with a Fish Wildlife Biologist to find out where they are planting some fish.

I understand that people hike in and volunteer, just thought the info should be public. From what I have read that is all the info is on the State Fish and Game homepage which I have looked at. Thought there might be another one floating around that was just alpine lakes. Don’t get all huffy and puffy there Sandy.

Just wondering why it is not available to the public? Doesn’t our tax dollars pay for the fish to have stocked, so shouldn’t we have the right to know what lakes are getting stocked?
Thanks,
Adam
I have seen that one before, I thought there might be one on just alpine high lakes.

Why is it just the North Cascades and not the whole Washington Cascade range.
Ya leave it to the Goverment who screws everything up. They think they know what they are doing, but really……..
Wow, I think your going to the extremes here. You belong on the Washington Flyfishing Forum, you would fit right in. A trout only lives 4 to 5 yrs max and the larger ones you catch and release are on there last leg any how. I catch and release 99 % of my fish and the other 1% I keep if hooked wrong or they are not going to make it. I think your being a little to anal about this topic. Most fish in the alpine don’t reproduce and I have been to lakes where you catch 40 fish in an hour. I don’t think it would hurt to kill one or two of them anyhow.

Whats the name of the lake so I don’t go in there?
Adam
I would love to but I don’t know if I have the time. I Live on Whidbey Island so I don’t know when your meeting and gatherings are. I have been hiking in the cascades for 25 yrs or more and have kept an eye on the trail blazers.

These are the reasons why I don’t want the fish stocking to stop. Though this lake I think is natural reproducing since there are lots of spawners.
