Hey Titus’s fishing friend – re- crystal lk.
If your familiar with the granite mt trail you’ll be able to visualize this description – it’s not much of a trail so make sure you have a usgs7.5 map just in case. At the top just before the trail goes up the talus and rock to the lookout you’ll be looking NNW through a pass toward Crystal Lk – leave the trail here and walk toward the pass through the heather meadow. You ought to pick it up in there.
Email me and I can send you a map – tblazermscott@gmail.comBarclay lake – north of US 2 out of Baring would be great and should be snow free now.
Hey Johnny – did you try typing The web address into your browser? If that doesn’t work Ken might have taken his web site down
Hi Clare – My name is Mick Scott. I am a current member of the Trail Blazers. A few years ago I spent some time researching the Necklace Valley cabin and the mountain cabin memorial association created by Ome Diaber in hopes of getting historical status and protection for the structure. The structure is still in amazing shape for its age. We were also hoping to do some light repairs on te structure to extend its life for others to enjoy. Unfortunately this project fell on deaf ears when I brought it to the attention of the forest service and Skykomish ranger district. I’m very curious about what you have to add to the story.
I hope you share more with us!!Cool stuff Chuck!!
That Hill map link is cool – Thanks Brian
There is an episode of Ancient Aliens on history channel (you can watch it on demand) about sasquatch being tied into the mother ship. Interesting show. Drink the kool-aid.

One night sleeping after a successful day of fishing with my 10 yr old son at Stuart Lake (Chelan) We settled in for nice sleep under the stars (no tent); about 10 pm I found that I was having an attack of GOUT in my right toe (a very familiar feeling of pain); I reached for the flashlight, so I could look at it to decide how to treat it in morn – to my major surprise it wasn’t gout , but an adult porcupine who decided to try and eat my big toe through the sleeping bag – I yelled, and threw the flash-light at it , and it did run off; it was a bit difficult trying to get back to sleep, and took a couple hours till I decided he had left; I drifted off a, but just as dawn was sneaking in (still mostly dark) I felt blowing of warm aitr on my face sticking out of the bag; I very carefully opened one eye, and looked
directly into the face of a big cougar-I instantly thrashed all over in my bag, yelling at the same time, and it gave a shriek and tore off as I watched him (her) head for the hillside. Son Slept through the whole thing, like always.Sounds like quite a night out Jim!!! WOWZERS

Hi, everyone! I’m new here 🙂 My name is Estella. I was wondering – what is the best and most romantic place to go fishing with a bf? (yes, i am one of those girls that find fishing romantic – lake, mountains… 🙂 )
This is spam isn’t it? Note the link in the bottom – PDF etc –
Just make sure you don’t leave that heavy boat in the bushes for next time – pack it in – pack it out.
There is nothing worse than getting into a beautiful alpine lake and finding someones trash(boat, frying pan, etc)
When I find that kind of stuff cached in the woods I cut it up into small pieces and pack it out.
Boy – I can’t think of anything resembling a “pack raft” for under 100.
I think you have to up the budget by a couple hundred dollars to get something that is truly “packable”
Since the Curtis raft is no longer available I opted for an Alpaca raft.
They are expensive – but bomb proof and will last a lifetime if you take care of things. Mine weighs four pounds without paddles and packs down to roughly the size of a 3 person tent.
It was definitely a purchase I had to talk myself into. I figured I’d pay $3 bucks a trip (10 trips a year) for a raft for the next 30 years.
I think I made a wise decision considering the quality of the boat and the piece of mind of having a boat that is rugged and that you would have to try to pop.

If you cant pop it dropping waterfalls don’t worry about flat water! Not sure about the season. I’ve seen lots of turkeys on the teanaway over the last 10 years. In fact I see them almost every time I drive up the road.
Unfortunately they are always in someones yard or too close to houses barns livestock etc to hunt.@bob pfeifer wrote:
Gary –
You might review this guidance, which we spent a fair amount of time developing:

Good luck!

What a great page Bob! Thanks for sharing.
Welcome aboard Gary! I’m more into the mission than the fishin’ but I’m sure someone on here might be able to help you out with tips. I’ve always used spinning gear and had luck with lots of different stuff over the years. I don’t feel like I know enough about why I’ve had luck to offer an opinion on gear.
I do know that you are going to have a great time at Copper and Malichite. On the way in, below Trout lk you’ll pass a Doug Fir that has to be close to 1000 years old…. Give her a big hug for me!
Remember to buy a freshwater fishing license – The revenue pays for the fry we plant in the high lakes and keeps the hatcheries open!
Good Luck – :camping:
