    Find the upper most Bear Mountain lake. Shes small and getting smnaller. The fish in there will surprise you.

    I like referring to them as the upper large lake and the lower large lake. The names are of course reversed.

    If you check lake finder and dial in Mcleod you can see pictures from the beaver dam that busted and the damage it created. Much of the lake as dissapeared.

    Well I found the place. Great meeting last night folks. I had to leave in the middle of Bryans waterfall lecture, but what I saw was very well thought out. The parking seems a bit odd. I parked accross the street in the strip mall (grocery store) parking lot. :fishing:

    I posted this in another thread, but Id like to post it here as well. God bless Doc Hastings and his attempt to curtail this current direction of not only disallowing the planting of fish but for goodness sakes KILLING the existing stock! How the hell can they say with a straight face they want to stop the stocking of fish for environmental reasons and in the same voice say that they will be killing the fish with pestisides? 😯

    Great pics and a nice report Dave. Those fall colors are just spectacular. You guys were lucky you didnt get rained on! :mrgreen:

    While I certainly dont mean to be a doom and gloomer, this doesnt seem like good news for either club…. God bless Doc Hastings and his work at getting this crap curtailed. :fishing:

    Thanks MB. It is in my top 5 of areas to go. Talk about beautiful. I do know that there are years that those lake never thaw! Maybe that has something to do with it.
